St. Neophytos
St. Neophytos (September 28) was born in 1134 in Cyprus. He was a monk, a priest, and scholar being one of the early writers of the Crusades. St. Neophytos wanted to become a hermit from a young age, but it was not God’s will until later in life. His sanctity attracted many followers and eventually led to building a monastery in his name.
The Relics of St. Neophytos
St. Neophytos of Cyprus’ relics are in Agios Neophytos Monastery not too far from Paphos.
The relics are located in the main Church in the monastery sector. They are on the left side when you walk in.
It is easy to get to the monastery if you have a car. Otherwise, apparently there is a bus service that you can take, or you may try a tour there. I recommend renting a car because the drive is very nice. Do note that driving is on the left side of the road and if you are not used to it, it may be a little difficult driving along the mountain roads and through villages.
